Who we are. VolunteerPress provides a volunteer management plugin for WordPress, distributed at volunteerpress.org. Contact: hello@volunteerpress.org.
What we collect. When you request a download, we collect your email address, whether you checked the box to receive updates, the exact wording of that consent, your IP address, and the date and time of your request.
Why we collect it. Your email address is used to send you the download link you requested. If you checked the updates box, we will also use it to send occasional updates about VolunteerPress and future products. Your IP address and timestamp are kept as a record of your request and consent.
What we don’t do. We do not sell your information. We do not share it with third parties except the service providers described below.
The site demo. Anything you enter in the demo on this site — names, emails, signups — is deleted automatically within one hour and is never used to send email.
Service providers. Email is delivered through our email hosting provider. Addresses that have opted into updates will be managed through an email service provider for sending those updates.
How long we keep it. We keep your information until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
Your choices. Every update email includes an unsubscribe link. To have your information deleted, or to ask what we hold about you, email hello@volunteerpress.org. We respond within 30 days.
The plugin itself. The VolunteerPress plugin runs on your own website. It does not send data about you or your site’s visitors to us. It checks volunteerpress.org for updates; that check includes standard technical information such as your WordPress and PHP versions and your site’s address, and nothing else.
Changes. If this policy changes, the date above will change with it.
